ConceptuARTE collective "group of students from Granada, most of Extremadura. Art group interested in contemporary art. Its main objective is the use of recyclable items for artistic creation.

ReciclArte arises from the need for young students (collective conceptuARTE), having an artistic space in which to create, discuss, explain ...

The idea is to recycle an old cement factory, which was once a source of wealth and employment for the particular area, and today, a footprint in the countryside of Extremadura.

ConceptuARTE has experience in using recycled materials to create art. This project aims not only to create art, but in addition there is a work of architecture in the middle.

The aim is to give an artistic and cultural solution to a space and some waste materials.

Causes.

Extremadura is a great cultural and artistic migration, so this group of students has raised recycle cement building Maimona Saints.

This factory has over 20 years standing. The council already raised demolish it and do something new, but it was this group of graffiti artists between 20 and 21 years, who have managed to convince the council to recycle.

Approach.

The Collective.

ReciclArte phases arises in both construction and action;

1. Reuse of some of the spaces assigned to create an exhibition hall and multipurpose continuous activities, exhibitions, seminars, speeches, workshops, ... This first building is raised within a "Days of architecture, public art spaces and reuse and materials "scheduled for August first time.

2. New search for financing to solve all the sites proposed within the project ReciclArte, these would workshops, studio picture, photo studio, multipurpose room, residential stays.

3. Outside ReciclArte project was carried out a series of interventions, collaborations, "Cardboard Cube" in the exhibition Arteciclar (Cáceres BelleArte room from April 28 to May 16) projects submitted to FIBArt "Least one space" and ReciclArte project presentation on "Architectures Group Meetings" in Pasaia-Gipuzkoa from 19 to 25 July.

The City of Saints-Badajoz Maimona gives two of the spaces of the former cement ASLAND, cooperation and sharing of concerns Maimona Foundation in connection with the project Mainova (responsible for managing the space of cement), relationship with other projects that are held in place as Diego Hidalgo Center for Business Innovation and CITIEX (Industrial Technology Center of Extremadura).
